JUST FRIENDS (2005)

This is a romantic comedy featuring Ryan Renolds ( The Proposal, Green Lantern…), Amy Smart (Varsity Blues, Rat Race…), Anna Faris ( Hot Chick, Mama’s Boy, The House Bunny…), Chris Klein (American Pie), and Chris Marquette (The Girl Next Door).  The movie focuses on Chris Brander (Renolds) trying to get out of the “friend zone” with his best friend Jamie (Smart) while in high school. Even after leaving his hometown , his feelings for Jamie are still present when he finally returns for Christmas 10 years later with his “girlfriend” Samantha (Faris).  Chris Brander tries everything in his power to win over Jamie and hopefully get out of the dreaded “friend zone.”

This is probably one of my FAVORITE movies! Always makes me laugh hysterically! Anna Faris has the funniest lines ever that you will be quoting for months! Ryan Renolds’ character’s dry sense of humor and comedic timing are perfect! The relationship between Ryan Renolds and Chris Marquette on camera almost makes it seem like they are brothers in real life (however they play brothers in the film)! The two are extremely funny! Also, it’s nice to see Chris Klein in a movie other than American Pie that is good. He plays the character Dusty Dinkleman, a guy who also had a crush on Jamie in high school.

So I was thinking last night while watching Casino that I should totally write a movie blog. I want to go through all the movies that I own (which is about 80 DVDs) and write a summary and my opinion of the movie. I wish that they had a goodreads type website for movies so I can keep track of everything I have ever watched. I LOVE movies sooo much! so that is what I am going to do to occupy myself for  the rest of my summer vacation. Should be interesting…

1. Put on nail polish and let dry.
2. Dip fingernail in alcohol-basically any will do, vodka is suggested.
3. Press a strip of newspaper big enough to cover the whole nail on to your alcohol soaked nail.
4. Pull off slowly and be really impressed with yourself.
5. Paint top coat if desired.
